My car is almost 10 years old and with that is a stereo system minus an mp3 port. Sure I could try and mod the CD Player (you remember CD's, don't you?) to an input for my iPod. But it might just be worth the extra $$$ to go for a new front end which has HD radio, GPS and etc., like the Kenwood DNX8120. Have no idea on price, but their website gets into features here.
Best Buy has announced that even if you did not buy your HD-DVD player from them, you can trade it in through their program here. Full details will be available on March 21, 2008. Might be worth it if you're not happy with no future HD-DVD releases.
Take your Nintendo DS Lite to the next level and get a color that most won't have! Check out ColorWare for this and other options (for different platforms) here.
So, I've been trying to figure this one out: viewing PDFs on my iPod Touch. It seems that certain other iPods can do this if you enable (via a checkbox in iTunes a preference) use this iPod as a Hard Drive option. Not so, at least yet, on the Touch or iPhone - unless you apply a hack such as here. And then use the Notes application.
Over the past three months or so, I've seen these "Eneloop" batteries on display at Costco. They are made by Sanyo, but if you haven't seen many of their products in the USA lately, check out their website in Japan here. They sure do have other neat things over there!
I'm not sure this will fit in everyone's pocket, but Belkin is releasing a USB charger that's surge protected. For more info, check here.
I was checking out the Sunday LA Times Circular and noticed something in the Best Buy ads. It was Madonna's The Immaculate Collection CD for $9.99. Most of my favorites are on it, and I was hoping to buy it on Sunday, but the stores told me they would get them on Tuesday. One more day to go! Like my iPod... Touched for the very first time!
On April 4, 2008, the new and finale season of BSG Reimagined will air on the Sci-Fi Channel. In the last season it really got boring on me, so I am hoping things will wrap up nicely. I also am looking forward to when TV goes all digital in 2009, that it means more OTA HD channels, especially the Discovery Channel! Anywho...
Since buying my iPod Touch, I am keeping a log of my discoveries. The goal is to document them for my amusement as well as to provide others (who are interested) in knowing more about what the ownership experience is like from my perspective. The link for this log is here.
