This morning I was drinking my coffee and surfing the web via my iPod Touch. Out of curiosity, I launched the Google mobile APP and put in my website name in the search bar. In the results next to my listing was a "more" option. Under that was "cached, similar, mobile formatted". Choosing "mobile formatted", I was looking at my website without squinting as much.
Whether this can be bookmarked into a link that always works, I do not yet know. If you want to see this in action yourself on your desktop PC, click here and then the settings link on the page. Under settings, select the bubble for "format web pages for your phone" and click the save button. Now put in a website address in the search bar and see what happens.
True, not as elegant as perhaps a dedicated version of the site made for mobile, but it works for the most part.
